Welcome to Sonnya's traveling journal! I'm Sonnya, obviously. This will be used as a personal blog during my travels so that one day, I can show my kids how important it is to travel and experience what the world has to offer. I'm a 20 year old fashion student born and raised in NYC. I'm engaged to a wonderful man, Anthony. I enjoy collecting comic books, taking pictures, karaoke, and sewing. When I'm not out and about, I'm at home playing World of Warcraft or watching TV, my favorite channels being Animal Planet, Science Channel, Discovery Health, and National Geographic. Yes, I do love nature type shows a lot. I'm an avid movie lover. So this week I will be traveling to the land of Japan for the first time to represent the United States in the World Cosplay Summit.
We have a couple of days to ourselves before the event goes down, so we'll be checking out Akihabara, Shibuya and other places around Tokyo... INCLUDING TOKYO TOWER DERPPPP.
I plan to record the entire shenanigans obviously and I SWEAR! I will eat fugu. Always wanted to take that extra step as a crazy traveler to try shit I would generally never.

Hahahah, damn what a fucking insane day.
Okay so we go to the barbeque, chilling, eating bloody meat and drinking some beers. We then go to get more drinks when one of the ladies starts cursing out one of the boys, real nasty. I went back to make peace and that bitch pushed me. I wasn't about to start any trouble with my cousin's friends, so I left it at that and bounces.
So then we're on our way back home when we stop at Carulla, the local supermarket for drinks and shit and we're just chillin there waiting for people to finish when all of a sudden we get word that one of the guys with us got slammed in the face with a bottle and 5 teeth came out, so of course all the guys go apeshit. I'm trying to keep my cousin's girlfriend calm, and we went to go see what the deal was, when the police just came. Damn.
So my brother, cousin, and a shitton of others got sent to booking. The guy who fucked up our friend got the shit kicked out of him from Douglas and Eduardo, a friend.
So yea.
What a day. I was about to go out again for dancing, but decided to keep to safe since my aunt and uncle are fucking PISSED. I mean, I didn't do anything, but out of respect, ya know.

Last night, I went to go see Casino Royale (again) with the fams. Its so much better the second time around, plus getting to see the Spider-Man 3 trailer and Daniel Craig's sexy self was a treat. My brother and cousin and his girlfriend enjoyed it very much. Afterwards we met up with people at this place called Aventura (Adventure in spanish). Its kinda.. cool. I guess?
Lol, basically you sit in bar stools while these people bring you bongs of beer. My cousin and I opted for a pitcher.
I don't think I've ever downed a pitcher of beer so quickly in my life. I think I'm starting to get the hang of beer and finding its taste. I'm still not so keen on aguardiente.
I think today is another party/bbq. And Wednesday also. Man, one thing for sure about the rumors is this place is a party town. I'm totally not used to it cause I don't go to as many parties in NYC, mainly the age deal. But holy crap, NY needs to be more like Cali, its fucking fun!
I woke up at first for a drink. Then I woke up again after hearing my cousin yell out for my aunt, so I got up and got her myself (fuckin' hell), then I woke up again to my brother saying "NO" so I laughed at him, and then again as the gardener is mowing grass right now.
So I'm gonna go take a shower, pull on my bathing suit, and going down to the river. Bye!

Looks like I'm going out tonight again for more dancing and drinking. I'm totally going to keep my drinking of that firewater down.

Hmm, apparently youtube hates my cousin's internet. Oh well, I'll try again.
Sorry for no updates really other than the cute hummingbird picture. You can do some magical things with my camera, that's fo' sho'.
Ok, so last night, Alvaro Jose and I decided to go out. I'm new to this club deal, so I left him take the reigns. So we make our way to the Torre de Cali, aka.. Cali Tower, aka, Cali's tallest building (Its not that tall, its the same size as one of the small buildings in NYC). So we're there, his friends are there, we go in.
They had to see my ID and I had to point out where the DOB was since its my liscence. They said welcome and let us in, no problem.
Okay apparently the only thing to drink is aguardiente.

It truly is disgusting. Its a combination of licorice and liquified shit. No joke, its nasty.
So, I got drunk off of this liquified licorice shit. And danced.
We got home so fucking shit-faced.. it was kinda fun. My cousin and I were are cursing in spanish and english. His friend was hitting on me after knowing that I'm a woman that is spoken for. He got mad after I told him to fuck off. Lol.
Anyways! I woke up with a gaping headache.
Hmm, I haven't taken any pictures today.. its kinda dark outside. Well, its still early, maybe I'll go into the city again with Alvaro to go eat at Mario Bross (Mahrio Brohss, lawl)
